Today was the first proper sunny, warm day Kobe has seen for a long time so we went for a walk down Flower Road, one of the least creatively named streets we’ve seen in a long time…but it’s one of the least concrete areas in Kobe so I can’t complain too much.
One of the more famous stops on Flower Road is the 花時計(Hanadokei), which is Japanese for “The Eternal Tick of Nature”—no, it isn’t. It means “Flower Clock.” (Weren’t you paying any attention when I mentioned that this street was lacking a bit in creativity?)
You may notice Carl is not alone. This is our new friend, Flat Anna, who is traveling the world to return back to her elementary school at the end of May. She, like us, is from Maryland (United States) and we were more than happy to show her around.{Sannomiya (Kobe), Japan}
