It was time to return to DC for another German course excursion* (Carl und ich sprechen Deutsch) and we came down early to meet up with a friend (a veteran Carl co-traveler) who also happens to intern here, the Phillips Collection. The Phillips has a varied and diverse collections of artists and stylistic movements so our best advice is to check the website for the current exhibitions.
A Note to Visitors: The Phillips Collection is an art gallery that, despite being in DC, charges an admission fee.
*Astute visitors to this blog may recall that nothing German was posted last time around. We visited the German-American Heritage Museum, a building difficult to recognize from any photograph with or without Carl in it. Additionally, the museum is very small and rather new, so we unfortunately cannot post a recommendation to visit. Es tut uns leid!
