Carl is a stuffed bear made from remnant bin fur fabric and a whole lotta love--but don't let his humble origins fool you: He's a little bear with big dreams.

After making a small scene upon reuniting with my old roommate and a Various and Sundry Adventures of Carl the Bear veteran traveling companion, we were shown the Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef. You can click through to the exhibition’s website to learn more but the main point was to be fun and artful while raising awareness about the beauty and fragility of the world’s coral reefs.
The purple jellyfish pictured to Carl’s left, along with many other sea creatures, was made by aforementioned past roommate and it was a treat to be shown the exhibit by a contributing artist.
